Overview
- Performs all types of tool room work, which includes setting up and operating equipment required to perform assignment or task efficiently using blueprints, documented quality procedures, work instructions, set-up and operating procedure, toll charts, gauges, etc.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for installation and maintenance of all equipment in plant using blueprints, documented quality procedures, work instructions, set-up and operating procedures, tool charts, gauges, etc.
- May be assigned to do machine repair work when necessary and qualified.
- Responsible for preventative maintenance and documentation on equipment.
- Capable of repairing pneumatics and hydraulics.
- Maintains records of repairs, calibrations and tests.
- Responsible for diagnosing and correcting trouble of all descriptions on equipment.
- Assists foreman in purchase of replacement or spare parts
Qualifications
- 8 years of verifiable work experience as a Tool & Die Maker or a Journeymans card. (REQUIRED)
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be able to lift 55lbs.
- Good mechanical skills
- Attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
