Material Handler - Forklift Driver (Trucker)

Responsible for handling all incoming and outbound material from Production including Direct Materials located in the Crib.  Employee ensures accurate paperwork processing for all material being moved.

• Responsible for ensuring all movement of material is recorded properly transfers/ receipts, routing tags, etc
• Ensures all material locations for production are full at beginning and end of shift
• Works with other employees within the dept. ensuring procedures and specifications are followed
• Follows all housekeeping and safety practices. Responsible for the area’s overall cleanliness and neatness
• May be required to perform miscellaneous duties related to the company and carry out special projects as required
• Able to drive a company forklift in a safe manner
• Performs daily equipment checks
• Follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records

• Must understand instructions given in English
• Must have excellent follow-up skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Detail Oriented
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task
• Operate a forklift
• High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment

Physical Component(s):

• Regularly sitting on a powered industrial truck
• Frequently lifting up to 40 pounds
• Having a good sense of balance
• Having good eye-hand-foot coordination
• Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights
• Ability to work in varying temperatures

Must be able to work 1st shift (6am-2pm); must be able to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.
