  • Overview

    Responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining Quality Assurance processes, procedures and standards.  Drive quality improvements through root cause analysis and ensure products are manufactured in compliance with customer specifications, design specifications and safety standards.  Support manufacturing operations and the Quality Management System in a high-precision production environment.  Perform and participate in internal and external audits.  Facilitate a culture of quality and continuous improvement. 

    Responsibilities

    • Ensure compliance with customer quality requirements and resolve quality problems in a timely manner through internal audit and corrective actions
    • Application and analysis of testing and inspection procedures as well as problem-solving methodologies such as 8D.
    • Develop and administer management information systems and audit quality systems for deficiency identification and correction
    • Schedule and participate in periodic Management Reviews and follow-ups
    • Apply logic and reasoning to solve complex problems

    Qualifications

    Experience and Qualifications

    • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment as a QE or other related position
    • Experience in high-precision, high-volume production environment supporting manufacturing and engineering
    • Experience in application of ISO and IATF quality standards in an automotive parts manufacturing environment (preferred)
    • Experience with Automotive Core Tools: APQP/PPAP/PFMEA/SPC
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy; prior project management is a plus.
    • Blueprint reading and knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

    Education

    • Bachelor's degree in technical or scientific field or equivalent work experience.
