GT Technologies is a metal stamping manufacturing plant supplying automotive customers such as Ford, GM, Audi, Chrysler and Volkswagen.
We are looking to hire a Quality Engineer that works with customers and suppliers in developing quality standards and resolving quality issues. Provides direct support to operations for identifying, improving, and resolving quality related issues.
Responsible for documenting and controlling Control Plans, PFMEA’s, Quality Procedures, Work Instructions, Forms, etc.
Responsible for implementing and assisting in activities related to IATF16949 Certification.
Provide skills as member of the IATF16949 Internal Audit Team.
Directs workers engaged in inspection and part layout activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products. Ensure all employees receive training in quality requirements, methods, and procedures.
Assist teams in developing effective quality measurements that can be used to drive continuous improvement, and communicating quality performance measurements to the teams and leadership
Serve as a resource for team development and training.
Responsible for all activities relating to Gage Control.
Lead and assist all employees in the reduction of scrap and the improvement of First Time Quality
Communicates and works with customers on quality issues.
Responsible for coordination and monitoring of activities related to external/internal corrective actions.
Responsible for the effective use and monitoring of Statistical Process Control (SPC).
Work with Engineering to ensure process changes are not made without the correct notification process.
BS in Quality Assurance, Engineering or Business Administration and/or minimum of 5 years Quality Engineering experience in the metal cutting industry or with similar customer base.
ASQ, CQE and CQA preferred.
Good computer skills.
Good communication and organizational skills as well as a strong sense of dedication to detail and follow up.
Equipment and automation skills – a working understanding of quality systems such as GD&T, SPC, bar charts, failure analysis and quality standards such as ISO14001, TS16949 and IATF16949.
