Plans, designs and coordinates manufacturing processes in plant by performing the following duties.
Design, develop, implement and enhance manufacturing and assembly processes that meet safety, quality and productivity continuous improvement expectations.
Aids in investigation and resolution of other work-in-process problems.
Recommends and designs improvements and/or modifications in sequence of operations, equipment utilization, and related matters.
Reviews proposals of outside vendors regarding the purchase of new or modernization of existing production/processing equipment. Tooling and other MRO products used in Manufacturing.
Training and developing staff as required.
Document and process controls.
Must be able to fulfill any and all customer requirements associated with the position.
Bachelor of Science degree – mechanical preferred - experience in a manufacturing engineering environment is a plus.
Lean Manufacturing, Shainin Certification, Six Sigma, Kaizen, TQM or other rapid continuous improvement systems preferred.
Tool, gage, and machine design experience is a plus.
Self motivated, good communication and interpersonal skills desired.
Ability to lead, motivate and develop others both individually and in a team environment.
Hands-on approach, flexible and positive working style.
Ability to prioritize and manage workflow.
Must have strong presentation skills and ability to effectively communicate within all levels of the organization.
Experience in a machine shop environment (metal cutting, grinding, honing) is a plus.
Manage small projects or products.
Microsoft software– Must be competent in the use of excel, word, ms project is a plus.Solid edge/solid work skill set is preferred.
